A day in my life
It is Monday, my alarm wakes me up at 6.00 a.m. and I am still very sleepy because last weekend I had a pilgrimage to Scarlet Monastery. It is a family tradition: I do this three times a year together with my father and grandfather. Anyway, I have breakfast, tell my wife which domestic tasks are on the to-do list and go to the New Solar Refinery.
I arrive around 8.00 a.m. and I badge-in to enter the building. Every worker has to do this since it is very dangerous over there and since women are not allowed in. The pollutants could affect their health, which would result in poorer fertility. Our youth is very important to us: they are our next generation and they must pursue our pride.
From 8.15 a.m. until 12.00 a.m., I always have to do the following tasks:
-
Reception of new raw materials
-
Checking trucks, documents, driver identifications and goods
-
Control of temperature readings
-
Daily warehouse control of dangerous goods
At 12.00 a.m. I have lunch. Last night, my wife prepared a meatball sandwich for me because I wanted it. She always listens to me. It is her job to do so. There is a bit of chit-chat between me and my colleagues and we tell some sexist jokes before resuming work.
From 12.00 a.m. until 6.30 p.m., I do the following tasks:
-
Loading and unloading trucks
-
Administration of export air freight shipments
-
Sealing and breaking the trucks
-
Moving trailers and restructure the infrastructure
At 7.00 p.m. I arrive at home. My wife prepared rice with chicken and curry. I love that! Before we start eating, we thank God he made this delicious dinner for us.
It is already 8.00 p.m. My wife takes care of our son Jack, while I do a bit of yoga before heading to bed.
